Dr. Bhavani Prakash – is a very versatile and accomplished artist in the Carnatic Music style. She is proficient in vocal music, veena (plucked string instrument) and venu (short bamboo flute). Dr. Bhavani has been trained by several doyens of Carnatic Music.
Prakash Rao – has performed on the mridangam, double-headed Carnatic drum, for over 3 decades. He has trained with one of the greatest exponent of the mridangam, Vellore G. Ramabhadran who is one of the only 5 mridangam artists to have ever been honored with the prestigious title of “Sangeetha Kalanidhi” by the Madras Music Academy, the highest institution of Carnatic Music.
Ananth Rao and Skanda Rao – Growing up in an environment with constant exposure to Carnatic Music, it is no wonder that Ananth and Skanda are proficient in this rich form of music. Both boys began informal training in their cradles and formal training at very tender ages and have received vocal and instrumental Carnatic music from their mother, and in mridangam from their father.
