The Temple proudly presents Nãmasankeertanam by Šri Satguru Séva Samājam, USA. Bhakti (devotion) is undoubtedly the lynchpin to progress in our spiritual path. Keeping this in mind, this event aims to supplement the efforts of the Temple in invoking bhakti during the Ganeša chaturthi nava-dina mahotsavam.
Šri Satguru Séva Samājam (SSSS). (an organization in service of the true Guru) has been conducting nāma saṅkīrtana (glorifying the name of the Lord) every month in New Jersey and tri-state area, following the prācīna sampradāya paddhati (classical tradition) that has been in vogue for more than two centuries in South India.
SSSS’s Main objectives is to promote the tradition of Nāma saṅkīrtana, support of the Bhãgavathas (devotees of the Lord) and sustaining the principles of the Vedic tradition.
They get their inspiration from the following šloka from the Bhãgavatam
नाम सङ्कीर्तनं यस्य सर्वपाप प्रणाशनम्।
प्रणामो दु:खशमनस्तं नमामि हरिं परम्॥
nāma-saṅkīrtanaṁ yasya sarva-pāpa praṇāśanam
praṇāmo duḥkha-śamanastaṁ namāmi hariṁ param
(Canto 12.13.23 of Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam)
I offer my respectful obeisance unto the Supreme Lord, Hari, the congregational chanting of whose holy names destroys all sinful reactions, and the offering of obeisance unto whom relieves all material suffering.
All are Welcome! Come and get inspired!
